Built a floating cabin on lake Herrington in Ky back in the early 2000’s. Sold it in 07. Miss it all the time. It was 14x32. Full kitchen, bath and bedroom with a large living room. Best of luck

My wife and I picked up our new to us 1997 lance Legend 880 in March, purchased it from a nice family in Pennsylvania (Ma to PA) we was lucky as it was garaged for 15 years when not in use. Everything works (even the fridge! he put a new control board in it and it works great) we was so lucky!! I went from 1 hour to load up to 20-25 minutes loading it up. Definitely slow and stead wins the race! I get in and out 30 times to check. Great Job!!! I had to add new wider swing out brackets as I have a Dually F350 to clear the "hips" of my truck. Also a platform to clear my bed rails. Cabover is about 2.5 inches from the cab roof of my truck.

Hey i know this video it 3 years old now (hope you get this) but my wife and I have the same Lance Legend but it is a 880, Just got back from a long road trip (charlotte Motor speed way from Ma and back) stayed right on the grounds with the track right behind us. Got there Wednesday and left Monday morning to head back home. 5 days of boon docking, our old wet cell battery died the last night (cheap ever start), propane detector beeping at 2am ugh! Fidge running on propane was blinking (not enough juice to start the propane genny) definetly going to pick up this suitcase! Thankfully the next day our neighbor let me plug in to long enough to get my genny started so i could bet my back legs up. Beautiful lance and love the solar setup. I picked up a Oddisy AGM 12 volt Marine Battery on the way home, ugh the prices now a days! Well done!!! Subscribed to your channel. I would love to pick up another AGM but have no space in the battery box, will have to figure something out. My wife and I love boondocking but definelty would love to have 2 battery's onboard. (it's our 1st truck camper) always had travel trailers and a 5th wheel. So far love the Truck camper as it only her and I. So much easier!

New construction!! No matter if it were a million dollar home or a metal building, all use cheap labor. They sure are fast....and inaccurate. Make sure to give them a proper review!

In my experience you have to pay top dollar for competent people, and even then you are really only going to get a competent contractor 1/4 of the time at best. You have to manage people exactly as you had to here, the vast majority of people aren’t trying to make something great they are trying to finish it and go home. If you don’t call them on it they will walk away from and incomplete job and ask for full pay

I had that vintage Lance and experienced the same problem. The flimsy metal bracket under the aluminum skin is pathetic. I took off the siding from each side. Installed pressure treated wood both for the horizontal plates and sistered in new studs. Then I installed angle iron bracing both inside and under the camper at the tie down points. Then installed new aluminum siding. The factory tie down work was laughable. Get a little moisture in the siding and rot quickly takes over.

It might be a little easier to get a chain come-along/cable-winch puller. It's slow, but hook it up to the tree and the tractor then spend a few minutes winching. It'll get ya there. Great force multiplier. But either way what works works. No need to fix something ain't broke.
